Day 2 of our road trip covered western Oregon into Idaho, landing in Boise for the night.

Wild horse corrals

The only point of interest I saw on the map between Bend and the Eastern border of Oregon was this BLM Wild Horse Corrals. I had no idea what to expect.

We were able to drive around several pens of wild horses to listen to them chewing on hay and sneak some photos. We spent a while trying to sneak up on them without scaring them off. About 25 flies decided to hop in the car and hitch a ride to Boise.
