It has been cool and rainy which is great news for the leafies and rooties, but the season for fruities is wrapping up.

It’s spooky season but the garden is still going strong! my weather app is on Spanish but you get the idea:

I’ve been busy with other things! The garden is winding dow but we got one more excellent week in with some rain and sunshine so the plants are still going! I’ll probably do fall breakdown in the next few weeks. Still hanging on to every last bit of sunshine.
Most exciting harvest this week(ish) was my popcorn. In the spring I planted a popcorn kernels on a whim and now I have an ear and a half of popcorn! Not a bumper crop but still exciting.

Not pictured, more tomatoes, biquinho peppers, and chard.

Made this NYT Roasted Tomato and White Bean Stew with tomatoes, onion, and Swiss chard from my garden. If my herbs hadn’t died I would have had lots of fresh herbs in there too! So delicious and satisfying to put my harvest to good use.

Squash continues to struggle, some other summer crops are on their way out. peppers and cucumbers are still crushing it.

I’ve started a new generation of seedlings for my fall garden. I assume I’ll need to construct some protective measures as things cool down, but we’ll see what I’m able to get for the fall season.
